Band, or shoulder ornament, from a robe of woven tapestry; red ground, ornamented with flowers, scrolls, and a seated ape in yellow and green; a scroll pattern border in yellow wool encloses it. Attached to it is a noval medallion of the same pattern and material. 26 in. | 4 in. Coptic, 6th to 9th century a.d. Aḥmîm.
