Description

Cartonnage; a pectoral from a mummy of the Ptolemaic period, representing the goddess Nut with outspread wings, holding the ostrich feather, the emblem of Maat, in each hand, kneeling. Beneath her is a mummy reclining on its back, with a sitting goddess at her head and feet, probably intended for Isis and Nephthys. 6 ½ in. | 11 in. Thebes.
